The recent bombings in Gaza have shattered our lives, leaving me and my family homeless and without any possessions. Our beloved home, a symbol of our efforts and love, has been completely destroyed in this war. I find myself with nothing but the clothes on me and some identification papers in our back bags. We are reaching out to our community in a sincere plea for help. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in helping us rebuild our lives and provide basic necessities for our family. The devastation has left us in a precarious situation, including looming debt for the now destroyed home. Your support during this extremely difficult time will give us hope in the midst of despair. Your generosity will not only help us put a roof over our heads again, but will also help us restore our faith in the kindness of humanity The family, who now resides near the border, is seeking to escape Gaza and return to safety, but the current barriers make this almost impossible. With widespread border closures, Egypt currently requires approximately $5,500 per person to obtain permission to leave. With himself and nine dependents, this puts the cost of obtaining permits alone in, plus potential administrative fees and other travel fees to get to safety in Egypt.
