About the Cause

Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.

My Story

SANED for Relief and Development will focus the intervention on the most vulnerable groups affected by the crisis: children from 4 to 10 years old, educating families and school staff in targeted areas that contain a large number of IDPs who have fled violence. Common families are also in educational needs due to the conflict, which has led to a significant reduction in the provision of accessible quality education and an increase in the number of children who have dropped out of school. The specific schools, children and areas to be supported have been carefully selected based on an analysis of the situation, needs and gaps, a field visit with the authorities and sound experience in the country. Needs and responses have been prioritized to areas of most concern based on: 1) areas with a high number of children in need; 2) displaced areas; 3) an area with no access to education. 4) Areas with no educational actors or a small number of them. Educational services will be provided to children in need within schools without any discrimination based on gender, gender, ethnic group, disability or political orientation.
