About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
At Allsopp & Allsopp, we are passionate about people and we believe that every person deserves the best chance they can get at achieving a life they enjoy. This all begins with health and nutrition and we are making it our mission to raise money and awareness to help Dubai Cares as much as we can. Without health and nutrition, we cannot function. Children all over the world should have access to this, something we have all been guilty of taking for granted at some point. We are extremely fortunate to live in an incredible city, to eat food every day and have our health and health care providers to be thankful for but we often forget that we are in a very safe place and there are others who are much less fortunate than ourselves. We hope that our donations will be the starting point for children to have the opportunity to leave their mark on this world, whatever that may be. We want to be able to help them achieve this and hopefully in the future achieve their dreams.
