About the Cause

Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.

In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.

My Story

The Crescent Blood Center is situated in Nanded district in old city of Nanded. This area is one of the most populated in Nanded district and having more than 15 multispecialty hospital, 2+ Municipal corporation hospital and 70+ normal & general practitioner. Blood transfusion safety remains an important public health concern in India .The availability of blood products of all blood types and the provision of its safety ensure public trust of its excellent healthcare system. However, lack of availability of these blood products and provision of unsafe blood products still impact morbidity and mortality in the India. The blood component is that component which require in extreme condition to the patient. So the fare and price are maintain as per SBTC & NBTC norms, even after this fare most of the people can’t afford the fare of the blood component for their patient due to weak financial condition. Hence, these situations lead them to death. Every day 12,000 people in India die due to the sheer lack of donated blood. India collects 11 million units of blood but needs 15 million units, so there is a deficit of 4 million units. So, we THE CRESCENT BLOOD BANK (Centre) trying to bridge the gap of shortage blood in Nanded, Parbhani, Hingoli, Latur district of Maharashtra through safe blood supply to the underprivileged and financially weaker section of the society. By direct blood without donor to the patient.
