About the Cause

Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.

In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.

My Story

I am Neeraj Kumar, I work as Director for Car manufacturer - Stellantis Group in Middle East and Africa Region. Born In India, educated in engineering & business management from India, France and USA. I am a mountaineer in my leisure time and have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro 5895 m asl, and Island peak in Nepal 6165 meters asl. At age of 3 years, I was paralyzed and could not walk for 1 year, and had very less hope for survival as per doctors. I had miraculous recovery, thanks to faith of my parents and a great pediatrician. I grew up with insecurities about my legs being weak, and had this fear for 40 years. I arrived in Dubai in 2019, and my life has been inspired by this great city Dubai, its leaderships, vision and people since then, who contributed to my journey of fitness and resilient mindset . I discovered so much about self love, health, fitness and nutrition, yoga, meditation and workouts with amazing coaches. I started climbing mountains in 2022, my first hike ever in life without any prior hiking experience, was direct to Mount Everest base camp in May’22. I then summited Island peak 6165 m - a technical climb, in October’22 , followed by fast climb of Kilimanjaro in June’23 in less than 3 days. My aim is to give back what I have learned to inspire more people and contribute to early child education, health and nutrition which is foundation of self love to be conscious and successful humans in life. Dubai has inspired me so much, I carry UAE flag to all summits, and this time I would like to carry Dubai Cares flag with me, in this auspicious month of Ramadan fasting and Eid celebrations soon.
