In Colombia, 39.3% of the Colombian population is below the poverty line and 12.2% is in extreme poverty. For this reason, we are aware of the enormous effort that must be made so that more teenage mothers can break cycles of poverty through our 360° Model.

About the Cause

Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.

My Story

With the specific purpose of breaking the poverty cycles of young mothers, we have designed and implemented the 360 Degrees Model, which lasts approximately two years and consists of the comprehensive provision of health services (mental, emotional, and physical), quality education (school, technical, and complementary) and integration into the formal labor market. In this way, we contribute to the well-being of young women, their families, and their communities. Our mission extends beyond providing basic care. We firmly believe in empowering our beneficiaries through education, skills development, and income generation. We understand the importance of financial stability and self-reliance in breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a better life for themselves and their children. We promote the generation of income of our beneficiaries, through their integration into the formal labor market or the development of an entrepreneurship.
