About the Cause

Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:

Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.

Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.

Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.

My Story

Asustem Robotics Academy is at the forefront of empowering Ghana’s youth, particularly girls and women, through transformative STEM education. By offering innovative programs and hands-on learning experiences, Asustem Robotics equips students with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world. Below are some of the key initiatives spearheaded by the Academy: 1. GPower - Girl Power Initiative - Focuses on empowering girls and young women by providing training in coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and app development. Promotes gender equality in STEM by creating a supportive environment for girls to explore and thrive in technology fields. Over 1,500 females were impacted in 2024 alone, with a target of 2,500 for 2025. 2. Catch Them Young Project -Targets children in primary and junior high schools to introduce them to foundational STEM concepts early in life. Offers training in Scratch programming, basic robotics, and creative problem-solving. Aims to inspire interest in technology and innovation at an early age. Vision: To Inspire Young Minds and Develop Creative Thinkers for 21st Century Job Skills and Demand in Africa Mission: To develop and prepare children and the youth of Africa by providing them with practical STEM empowerment programs that will enable them become developers, creative thinkers and innovators for the African continent.
