About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Hi My Name is Mruda Bhatt and I am 10 Yrs studying in Winchester School Jabel Ali. During my summer break I visited a rural area in Gujarat, India, visited many villages to provide girl students in under privileged school with a training on self defense as I am trained in Karate ( Marshal Art) In such visit of one of the school I found that students were struggling to have clean and cold drinking water. Provided with a hand pump only, school does not have any other option. My Intention is to raise a fund of around 3000 AED to for the Provision of motorised pump with water cooler. The pump will connect with PVC pipeline to a cooler through a filter. This way we can provide with cold and clean drinking water to students of the under privileged school.
