About the Cause
Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:
Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.
Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.
Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.
My Story
After the volcano eruption in Goma Congo DRC, we are raising funds to help children go to school. In Goma parents do not believe that you can be a musician and earn a living, you can be a painter artist and earn a living, you can be a football player and earn a living. The only way to be independent while you are an adult is to be a doctor, lawyer, secretary, etc. At Sauti we believe that everyone has talent and that talent should be valued. Every year we organize schools' talent competition, individuals children's talent, the school which wins get a price to support children who can not pay their school fees. The individual children become children, ambassadors, to support their fellow children. Local businesses in Goma have given us AED 26000 to organize our third edition as we are looking for AED 50000 We will be encouraging people; employees, clients, supply chain partners, family, and friends to support us in our fundraising efforts by taking part in challenges or simply making a donation to our campaign page. The idea is also to help parents from Goma to understand that Children especially girls can have another talent than being wife materials. In our last edition, children proved us that the do have talent we need to show them that we are there to support them. We call upon people of good faith to support our cause by raising AED 50000. Children are our future, future of the country, future of the world
