My Story
At Rixos Hotels, we believe hospitality goes beyond our resorts—it’s about creating meaningful change in the world around us. That is why we have partnered with Dubai Cares through their Adopt a School programme to bring the gift of education to children and families in Malawi. Education is one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty. Yet in Malawi, one of the world’s poorest countries, too many children are denied this basic right due to poverty and lack of infrastructure. Today, 11% of primary school-aged children are out of school, and only one-third complete their primary education. Our goal is clear: to raise AED 186,000 to build a new school in Malawi. This project will deliver two fully furnished classrooms for up to 100 students, separate sanitary facilities for boys and girls, and literacy training for 60 adults. Importantly, parents and community members will also contribute around 1,000 volunteer workdays, ensuring this school is built with love, ownership, and long-term sustainability. We are inviting our valued guests to be part of this journey. Every contribution made will directly support the construction of this school and empower future generations in Malawi. Together, we can make education a reality for children and adults in Malawi, turning every contribution into a step toward a stronger, more sustainable future.
