About the Cause

Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:

Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.

Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.

Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.

My Story

My Story My name is Tamale Moses, and I lead Waampa Children’s Development Foundation in Jinja, Uganda. Growing up, I witnessed how poverty, broken families, and lack of resources denied many children their right to education. Too often, I saw children roaming the streets, not because they lacked dreams, but because they lacked school fees, uniforms, and the simple support every child deserves. This reality pains me deeply because I know the power of education. It opens doors, restores dignity, and gives children the tools to rise above poverty. Yet, many of the most vulnerable orphans, children of single mothers, and those from extremely poor families — are trapped in a cycle where education remains a dream instead of a right. This campaign, “Classrooms of Hope,” is my way of standing up for these children. It is not just about paying school fees; it is about restoring hope and showing each child that their life matters. To me, this campaign means giving a child the chance to sit in a classroom instead of wandering the streets, to hold a book instead of begging for food, and to dream of a future filled with possibilities. With your support, we can open the doors of education to Uganda’s most vulnerable children and give them the chance to become tomorrow’s leaders. This is my mission, my passion, and my heartfelt appeal.
