About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Mogao Restaurant in DSO has become a hub of flavors and creativity, where children embark on a delightful journey of both gastronomy and artistry. We've been handing out colour pencils and sheets of paper to our youngest patrons, that magically transform into portals to their imagination. With every stroke of colour, a world of creativity comes to life on these pages. This November, in line with World Children’s Day, we are thrilled to announce an initiative that bridges the gap between creativity and compassion. "Colours for a Cause by Mogao" invites all young artists who have graced our restaurant to take their artistic ventures a step further. The colourful masterpieces they create will find a greater purpose - a chance to make a difference in the world. The 18th of November will be dedicated to showcasing these magnificent creations, allowing our patrons to witness the world through the eyes of these young Picassos and Van Goghs. These artworks will not only be admired but will also be up for grabs, turning these children's artworks into beacons of hope! Guests can buy their favourite pieces, with all proceeds going towards children’s charities with the Dubai Cares Foundation. Through their creativity, the children will contribute to providing health, nutrition and development to their peers who deserve the chance to shine just as brightly.
