About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
For a child, one of the wishes and prayers is for her or his parents to live longer and give back to them for all the sacrifices they endure and made. I am starting this fund raising for my father who is diagnosed with End Stage Renal disease, a medical condition in which kidneys are no longer functioning properly and needs or dependent to a regular course of long term dialysis treatment or kidney transplant. We could afford the later, thus my father and our family opted for dialysis treatment, an Intrajugular access and AV Fistula was created to be used for the dialysis, a costly procedure/therapy in Philippines which my father is having every Wednesday and Saturday for more than 3 years now. I and my siblings are helping with the finances together with the help also of our relatives and family friends however there are times that it is very hard for us to sustain the treatment and makes my father worry more. Thus,leads me to this fund raising activity. It will really be a big help and answered prayer for us for any amount you would share to aid my father’s treatment to prolong his life and alleviate the worries and fears of my Papa. I also wanted to see my father as I wasn’t able to go home for 3 years now due to pandemic and financial struggle.
