About the Cause

Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:

Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.

Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.

Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.

My Story

In Kaduna Nigerian public schools were underprivileged children and they can't access technological facilities at their elementary level year of education. Less than 1% in kaduna Nigeria poor underprivileged children and youth has not touch a computer throughout their education period, in this many were ignorance to this digital technology world but children of high profile families can explore computer (digital skills) and do well in school and become employed after graduation. The aim of digital literacy vs digital divide project is to improve access to digital technology for all poor children and increase economic growth of the community with digital skills for the youth, ensure government participation The fund received will solve most challenging issues facing doka community children and youth as a result of zero practical knowledge of digital skills with low graduation rate at schools and inequality and injustice in terms of employment in public and private organization due to lack of digital literacy therefore the fund will make a difference in securing brighter future for the entire community youth. The fund will also help us lunch a digital learning center for educating and training of underprivileged and dropout children & youth which will serve as the digital learning centers.
