About the Cause

Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.

My Story

Mr. Irshad Ahmed founded two primary and two secondary schools in the districts of Nau Shero Feroze and Dadu Sindh in Pakistan. The schools are providing quality education and transforming skills. The project funds are limited and did not afford school dresses, nutrition, shoes, a science lab, and other means of girls' education . The targeted communities are flood-affected, and the majority of girls were not able to afford the requested supplies. The recent flood damaged the houses, livelihoods, and asses of life that created vulnerability and did not receive the necessary nutrients and other support. Sindh will face issues of food insecurity and crises that will increase vulnerability, such as diseases and other kinds of frustation. There is a dire need to provide school dresses, shoes, nutrition supplements, and other equipment for promoting girls' education in flood-affected areas of Sindh
