About the Cause

Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.

My Story

We live in a third world country, where only 20% of girls are so called educated.Since my childhood, I have seen how much inhuman torture is done to mothers and sisters in our society.Further impediments to schooling include poverty, safety concerns, lack of school and superstitions linked to religious beliefs. Economic crisis and negligence of female education encourages early marriage. Traditional and cultural barrier from society was another obstacle of female education in Bangladesh. From the very beginning of schooling female students mainly faced obstacles from the community. To statistics from the World Bank and International Center for Research on Women, 10–30% of parents indicated that their children dropped out of secondary school as a result of child marriage or pregnancy. This includes barriers, at all levels, to access quality education and within education systems, institutions, and classrooms, such as, amongst others: harmful gender stereotypes and wrongful gender stereotyping. child marriage and early and unintended pregnancy. gender-based violence against women and girls. More items. These challenges include male-dominated institutional cultures, lack of female mentors, competing family responsibilities due to gendered domestic labour, and implicit and subconscious biases in recruitment, research allocation, outcome of peer review, and number of citations. Our organisation peoples are taking care of each and every girls in our country.
