About the Cause

Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.

My Story

For girls living in vulnerable settings, the long term impact of this pandemic may even be more acute than thought to be. With some of the lowest enrollment and completion rates for girls in some communities, school closures have forced more girls out of school following the Covid-19 restrictions. Very sad, many of these girls have no access to sexual reproductive health and are not well informed about how they can manage their periods hence leading to increased early pregnancies due to sexual exploitation in order to obtain pads. With the support raised from goodwill people, we shall help many of these girls from rural communities access this education and even train them on how to make the sanitary pads so that other most vulnerable girls could afford them freely. This means, 3 girls have will be able to be sent to attain this training then in turn train others. Thanking you in advance for choosing to stand with them. We have local campaign going on to raise the funds to allow us do this, kindly helps with anything you can.
