About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Hello everyone. My name is Johanna Hilary, I am 17 years old and a grade 12 student. I would want to inform you that my father lost his job a few months ago and we have been thrown away recently by the landlord. We are homeless presently and don't know where to go. My brother and I do distance learning didn't start our academic year so far because my parents are not able to afford the tuition fees. We really need an emergency support for rent and for tuition fees. But the sustainable plan for my father has is to enroll in the 10 months PGCE (which is a teacher training) so the school he volunteers at will immediately offer him a contract of Assistant Teacher. Then I will be able to pay the rest of my tuition fees from his salary. On completion of the training I will get a teaching role in the same school or in another school. That teacher training will ensure him a permanent job here and overseas. Please if you read this message and are able to help do not hesitate as a family needs you to change its horrible circumstances. If you are not able to support financially do keep us in your prayers. Thank you so much.
