About the Cause

Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.

My Story

Government Girls Middle School Agrovil Colony, Badin , established in 1998 through Asian Development Bank's "Sindh Middle School Project". It serves 358 girls students from rural, economically challenged areas. The students are currently housed in an old 10 room middle school building. The school is in a very poor state of repair. More students wish to attend but due to danger condition of classrooms are turned away. Our girls' school stands as a testament to resilience and determination, but it cannot fulfill its noble purpose without adequate facilities. Cracks mar the walls, roofs leak during rains, and classrooms lack essential resources for effective learning. Our students deserve better – they deserve an environment conducive to their growth and success. The Pakistani Educational Department has taken no interest in subsidizing the renovation of the school so the community is trying to raise the voice for funding. Donations to this cause will not only benefit these students today but the students of tomorrow.
