About the Cause

Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.

In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.

My Story

Khaishi Public school has been operating for 30 years now. 100% of the residents of Khaishi, Tetritskaro municipality, Georgia are the eco-migrants from the upper Svaneti (a mountainous region of Georgia). The two wings of the rural school are fully rehabilitated by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. Currently, the school does not have the resources to build the infrastructure and promote youth’s creative activities. Establishing various intellect clubs in the school will help to increase the motivation of the students. As part of the project, students will need audio and computer equipment, musical instruments, which will help them better cope with the learning process and as a result, will be involved in various projects, arrange simulation games and intellectual evenings. Khaishi Public School students will stage performances of various genres and musical instruments will help to promote and reveal students ’talents. The student-initiated project will change the daily routine of more than 100 school students and parents. Moreover, a school activity blog will be created to give eco-migrant children the opportunity to communicate with students from other schools, to support each other, to overcome common or individual challenges.
