Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.
My Story
My name is Kanyike Benjamin (Aka Sultan Abdul barr new convert to islam) a Ugandan staying in kampala it was August year 2020 when Uganda was in total lock down me ,my family and community people faced alot of hardship. During that period many girls from different families were forced to do prostitution, Adultery as a way for survival leading to most of them dropout of learning institutions. Due to the wave most bussiness in Uganda failed leading to poverty. When schools resumed most of the parents didn't have money thus sending the younger youth (girls) to work as maids, cleaners, waiteress . I came up with the idea of taking back girls to schools through fundrising, making saccos for women,training girls with techinical works e.g hair dressing ,baking ,decoration among others We are looking forward for your help .
