About the Cause
Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme in all Dubai Cares’ education programs with an approach that aims to secure equal access for boys and girls to safe learning environments with adequate facilities, materials and academic support from gender sensitized teachers and communities.
My Story
I am Isha Rajeev Nair, a 8-year old student. This is my campaign to help support Girl's Education. Despite evidence demonstrating how central girls’ education is to development, gender disparities in education persist. Worldwide, 129 million girls are out of school. There are many barriers to girls’ education – like poverty, child marriage and gender-based violence which vary among countries and communities. Being a girl , I strongly advocate Gender-equitable education systems to empower girls, promote the development of their life skills – like self-management, communication, negotiation and critical thinking – that young people need to succeed. I believe every country and every family should invest in girls’ education as it is one of the most transformative development strategies. A girl’s education changes everything. An educated girl is more likely to grow up healthy, safe and empowered to determine the course of her life and future. It is imperative for all of us to support girls' education hence I kindly request you all to support my campaign to support girls education around the world. The funds will directly go to Dubai Cares " Girls Education".
