My Story

I am Isha Rajeev Nair, a 9-year-old student, and this is my campaign supporting girls’ education. Here in the UAE, we have access to quality education and world-class infrastructure. However, there are many children, predominantly in underdeveloped countries who do not have access to these privileges and miss out on essential learning. Our society today has begun to take action to promote girls’ education, but we still have a long way to go. Barriers such as child marriage, poverty and gender-based violence as well as wars and unrest prevents girls from going to school. A girls’ education makes a difference to their community and country and personally, as a girl myself, I believe that education should be for everyone, everywhere and it is imperative that countries invest in girls’ education. We children are the minds of the future, and we need the tools to make a positive change.
