About the Cause

Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:

Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.

Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.

Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.

My Story

As a student myself, I've seen several young people struggle silently with panic attacks, anxiety, and emotional breakdowns, often triggered by overwhelming academic pressure and unrealistic expectations. This not only hinders their mental health but also their overall well-being and confidence ,thereby hindering their productivity and ability to learn. The stigma around mental health is so deeply rooted that many don't feel safe asking for help. They're told to "toughen up" or "focus on studies", blatantly ignoring the pressure and confusion they are going through. Overtime, this isolation can be detrimental and can push many students to the edge, leading to self-harm. Not everyone has the privilege of being heard, trapping them in a system that doesn't allow them to be themselves. My main goal with this campaign is to create a safe space for students, support youth through access to mental health services and encourage open converations around mental health, free from judgement, to break the ice. This cause is deeply personal to me, not just because I've seen it, but because I truly believe that no one should ever feel alone or ashamed for needing help. By contributing to this cause, you are not just donating, you're giving someone hope and helping them take their first step to speaking up, reaching out and healing. You're reminding them that they matter, and you're helping build a world where seeking help is seen as strenght, not a weakness.
