My Story

I am Radhika Shinde, the mother of a beautiful little girl named Vamika. She is just 1 year and 8 months old—still learning to walk, still discovering the world with wonder in her eyes. But behind those eyes is a terrifying truth: Vamika is battling a rare blood disorder called Diamond-Blackfan Anemia—a disease that has threatened her life since she was just a month old.Since then, my baby has needed monthly blood transfusions, and now, with her growing older, doctors have started her on blood thinners too. She has already received 23 different types of blood. And now, the only thing that can save her is a stem cell transplant—a procedure that costs AED 113,043.00. We don’t have that kind of money. We don’t even have savings anymore. We’ve spent everything—just ₹50,000 so far—by borrowing from friends. And now we have nothing left, except your compassion. My husband, Sai Krishna, was working in a pharmaceutical company earning ₹18,000 a month. But he lost that job because he was taking too many leaves to care for our daughter.
