About the Cause
Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:
Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.
Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.
Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.
My Story
I came to Dubai with a dream—not just for myself, but for those who were never given a fair chance. As an educator and mentor, I’ve witnessed a heartbreaking truth: many hardworking individuals from countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and across Africa have left their homes and families in search of a better future. But despite their determination, they are often stuck in low-paying jobs, without the education, skills, or qualifications to grow beyond their current reality. Most of them are unskilled, underpaid, and financially unstable. They dream of becoming more but their circumstances don't allow them to afford university fees, training, or even a second chance at education. That’s where I come in. Through my startup initiative in Dubai, I’ve been helping these deserving youth by enrolling them in online and offline university programs, offering training and mentorship to help them pursue Degrees, MBAs, and professional certifications. This isn't just about education it's about restoring self-worth, dignity, and hope. But I can’t do this alone anymore. To support 100 youth over the next year, I need to raise AED 500,000. This will cover their university enrollment fees, tuition, training, learning materials, and ongoing support to ensure they not only start but complete their education. Each AED you donate will go directly to helping someone unlock a better life.
