About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Assalamu Alaykom, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent help and support. Baby Jayden, the son of a dear family friend, has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a rare and life-threatening genetic disorder. Without immediate treatment, Jayden’s prognosis is dire, and time is critically against us. Jayden’s treatment is scheduled to take place in Dubai, but the costs are exceedingly high (1,800,000 USD after the discounted price of Zolgensma). The remaining medical expenses required for his treatment amount to 900,000 USD and we need to raise this sum within the next two months to save his life. We are desperate! And we need extra help! And i have hopes you can help us keep Jayden among us. Any support, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in giving Jayden a fighting chance at life.
