About the Cause
Gaza in Our Hearts is a Ramadan fundraising campaign by Dubai Cares that aims to support the people of Gaza with emergency relief aid including: Hot Meals Distribution, Food Basket Distribution and Emergency Shelter Tents.
To ensure the prompt and efficient supply of this emergency relief, we have partnered with Anera who are working closely with UN, diplomatic and non-governmental organization partners to open aid corridors to enable it to urgently deliver life-saving aid.
Through your generosity and compassion, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by the humanitarian crisis. Together, let us stand in solidarity with Gaza and demonstrate that hope and compassion know no borders.
My Story
Hello, my name is Anwar, I live in Canada. I received this message from one of my friends from Palestine in the Gaza Strip from the city of Khan Yunis, and this is the text of the message: Save us from death and poverty and from the devastating pain of war. We are a large family of 15 people. We live in a place and one house that was destroyed by insane bombing in the city of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. For 6 months, we have been living a bitter life full of fear, terror, hunger and poverty. We have no shelter, security, or peace due to the fierce war that is destroying everything. There is no food or drink. There is no health service or treatment. Look at us as a family with 9 children who need to live in safety and need clothes, toys, education and a decent life like the rest of the children in the world. Our family consists of: Mr. 1- Father: AHMED MUHAMEED ABU SNAYMA, 43 years old 2- Mother: HIBA MUSA ABU SNAYMA, 40 years old 3- Son: MUHAMEED AHMED ABU SNAYMA, 14 years old 4- Son: MAHMOUD AHMED ABU SNAYMA, 10 years 5- His son: ELAF AHMED ABU SNAYMA, 9 years old 6- Son: IBRAHEM AHMED ABU SNAYMA, 7 years old 7- His son: SALMA AHMED ABU SNAYMA, 3 years old 8- Sister: FATMA MUHAMEED ABU SNAYMA, 50 years old 9- Brother: IBRAHEM MUHAMEED ABU SNAYMA, 46 years old 10- Brother’s wife: SAFAA JOMAA ABU SNAYMA, 38 years old 11- Uncle’s wife: REEM NASER ABU SNAYMA, 36 years old 12- Cousin: YAMEN JOMAA ABU SNAYMA, 14 years old 13- Cousin: YAMAN JOMAA ABU SNAYMA, 12 years old 14- Cousin: LAMA JOMAA ABU SNAYMA, 10 years old 15- Cousin: MUHAMEED JOMAA ABU SNAYMA, 7 years We need to collect donations to buy a house and find a stable source of income for our family, and if we do not find that with the war continuing in Gaza, we will need money to travel away from this death, and search for another place and another life in another country.
