About the Cause
Teachers need quality training to provide quality education. With the support of our implementing partners and curriculum experts, we are training a generation of teachers that can influence, even with limited resources, children and young people’s ability to learn and prosper.
My Story
This Ramadan at Teachers Empowerment Platform-TEP, we started supporting Teachers in our Madrasah network with Iftar, we have been supporting over 500 teachers by providing continuous professional development and capacity building. However, as we get in the middle of Ramadan most of our teachers can hardly afford to break the fast in the proper way due to financial inability. It feels bad to find that our Moslem teachers cannot afford Iftar off course because of the effects of COVID-19. We have created this fundraiser to reach out to well-wishers to support our project in Uganda to raise 51093 AED to provide Iftar packages for the Madrasah network of teachers who were seriously affected by COVI-19. Each package costs 102 AED. Teachers Empowerment Platform-TEP is a teacher training social enterprise based in Uganda, working mainly with teachers in the Luwero region. It was established in 2013 by a team of teachers, teacher trainers and teacher trainees who saw the need for better quality teaching and collaboration in Ugandan schools. TEP is registered as a charitable incorporated company, with registration number 213766. Our vision is a society with innovative, motivated, multi-skilled and passionate teachers collaborating to provide quality education. Our mission is to empower Ugandan teachers to teach with passion and to build their capacity to provide a quality education through exposing them to innovative approaches and creating linkages and networks.
