About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Hello! I am Kringo Carlo Palles, and I am the father of baby Kailah. I have been working in Dubai for more than 10 years now. I got marriedfor more than 3 years and we decided to build a family here in UAE. And last August 2020 we were blessed with our little angel, Kailah. She was a happy baby, And she filled our hearts with love and joy. She was diagnosed with T21 Down Syndrome and congenital heart disease, she has 3 holes in her heart and her main heart's main valve needs repair (AVSD, PDA and VSD). Aside from the therapies that we need to go through Doctor's said she needs open heart surgery as soon as possible. She had her surgery last March 2022 at Al Jalila Children's Hospital and on her way to recovery but we were not able to pay the hospital yet because we are trying to huddle with them to lower the price, though they have reduced the price still we can't come up with enough to fully pay the bill. Ever since She was born she constantly needs to go to hospital for check ups because of her condition and it has drained our savings. We tried reaching out to insurance companies but got rejected because of her existing health problems so we have to pay cash every time we go for her checkups. And just after the surgery my wife lost her job. After the surgery there are lots of checkups and therapies that we need to go through as soon as possible so my baby can cope up with her development, but sadly we have to cancel everything due to lack of funds.
