About the Cause
Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:
Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.
Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.
Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.
My Story
Being groomed in privileged environment and being blessed with all the necessities in life, always helped me to walk firmly. But there was always one thing which triggered me while thinking about those whose primary bread earners are not even alive. I kept thinking how they had to manage their expenses, even a little tiny thing. Working voluntarily was the only choice for me in order to serve these brilliant kids. Since 6 years, i have been working in the community service sector to establish a network and work for the betterment of the society. My story began when i was 6 years old and i saw a destitute child laying alone on the road, crying for help. He said, "What is my fault, if my parents have died after my birth?" This one sentence changed the whole vision of my mind and i began my journey of working for these innocent children. Years have passed but my passion and vision is same for these kids. Pakistan Sweet Home Angels and Fairies Place is providing free education, shelter, food, medical, sports and other necessities to the orphans of Pakistan. It started from 1 child and now it has the family of thousands of children. After getting involved with the organization, my moral and faith has already got up as the CEO of the organization Mr. Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) says: "One day every orphan will have the access to best education and living standards". Initiating this campaign to pay my role for these kids and letting people know to show your care by donating even a single penny because it matters.
