About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Help Provide Critical Care for Our Precious Premature Baby To all the generous and kindhearted people, I am Mary Rodrigo, living in Dubai, working as a Nanny had an emergency preterm delivery on the 11th of October 2023. I humbly ask you, for your help to settle the hospital bills for my baby Gabriel. Gabriel was born at 29 weeks and had to be put in an incubator at NICU of Aster Hospital, Dubai for an indefinite period due to his pre-mature state followed by an infection and breathing issues.. My husband and I are both working, but we are finding it impossible to bear the burden of paying the hospital bills amounting to 225,000 Dirhams Gabriel is in stable condition now and he was discharged on the 30th of November but the hospital is holding the baby and myself hostage untill the bill is settled and the bill keeps growing as we are forced to pay 1500 Dirhams per day for the room that we are in at the moment. Heartbroken, we are knocking at the door of everyone’s heart, hoping that the kindness and love within you will inspire you to help us out, so we can bring our beloved baby boy home.
