About the Cause

Dubai Cares’ programs are designed to reduce, if not remove, the greatest obstacles that prevent children and young people in developing countries from attaining quality education. With each intervention, Dubai Cares evaluates the need for assistance across two key areas:

Access to Education which allows Dubai Cares to improve children’s health and learning environment, increase education enrollment and attainment, increase access to education, reduce absenteeism, increase gender parity and increase promotion rates.

Quality of Education which enables early learning, enhances educational attainment and school progression, improves literacy and numeracy skills among children, enables teachers to access teacher training resulting in better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates and increase primary school attainment.

Dubai Cares is a long-term advocate of safeguarding children and young people’s right to education and is currently playing a global advocacy role in spreading the knowledge about the importance of providing education to the unprivileged children.
We also champion education through research - There is an overwhelming lack of evidence as to what works to promote children’s learning in crisis-affected contexts. Research plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue.

My Story

I am from Syria I suffered from Torturing & force Detention in Syria after that my life changed and I moved to Lebanon I found my own way to aid people and giving more effort and time to humanity causes and I will never stop! The name of our international volunteering team (Mn Khaymtna) Means in Arabic (From our Tent), we mainly support 30 kids they are living in 8 tents in a refugee camp in Lebanon-Beqaa. the Tent is very hot in summer and too cold during winter. it is important to help the kids because they grow with trauma from Syrian War crisis since 2011, they have no education till now and the NGOs in Lebanon far from this camp, the kids need urgent support and for long term. The funds will go directly for education purposes (cost of school fees, note books…. etc.) then buy essentials for kids such clothes (especially it is winter right now and its very cold for the people), medicine (especially chronic diseases they cannot afford its costs), and for other expanses such supporting the families of the kids or food and supplies (heating fuel, Rent cost of the tents). Sometimes the team provide aid by visiting the kids regularly, but it’s hard to face challenges; one of our baggiest challenges is: Our small budget as team and mainly it comes from the small donations from us as team members; and usually it is not enough to meet the team goals to provide education, treatment, and basic needs for the children's.
