About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
We are running Hayatul ullom madrasa, which was established in 1995. The mission of the madrasa is to provide free education and Hifz ul Quran to the orphans and also provide them shelter, food and clothes. More than 1000 and above children has been completed their education for free of cost and completed Hifz ul Quran. The founder was Late Molana Abdul rahman, who was my father and he established the school for the orphans. My name is Mohammed Asad ur Rahman, After my father's death we are trying to run the orphanage. After my father's death, the school is in lot of debt and no funds have been raised, we have to pay the debt and run the school is getting difficult. There are 200 orphan students now who are studying free and we are lacking fund to run the school. We are looking forward to organise the fund raising and our target is to reach least 2,00,000Aed and will be asking the families and friends to give charity in order to completed our fund target.
