I’m reaching out to you on a personal level regarding a situation that has arisen following the birth of my baby boy on January 18th, 2025. As you’re aware, I faced a high-risk pregnancy due to some health complications, and my baby is currently in the NICU. He is covered under my insurance until February 15th, but after that, the hospital will start billing me directly. The minimum estimated cost for his care is AED 150,000. I have been trying to work with insurance companies, but it’s been a challenge, especially since my baby is still in the NICU. The premiums they are asking for range from AED 50k to AED 60k, which is a significant amount. I’ve also explored various charitable organizations, but each has its own terms and conditions. I’m still continuing those efforts, but I thought I would reach out to you for any internal assistance. Given that I’m under the group insurance plan, and I understand that third-party insurers typically don’t cover dependents, This would be a tremendous help during this difficult time, and once my baby is discharged, I can then look into applying for standard coverage independently.
