About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Center for Action Reflection and Development Limited – (CARD – Zambia) is seeking for partnership from any foundations or donors who can assist us financially to reach out to Vulnerable School going Children and Adolescents to promote Healthy Eating Habits using locally available food from poor Community schools and government schools from rural areas. This School Health and Nutrition Project, it means a lot to me because we have seen school going children and adolescent their performance in community and some government schools especially from rural areas school results are not good in some schools because poor nutritious food provided and not proper nutrition education as well as conduct cooking demonstrations for school going children and primary care givers. However, as an organization we are seeking for partnership with any well wisher who can donate or fund the project.
