About the Cause
My Story
My name is Lissyari, founder of Ruang IMSA, a small community-based clinic in Indonesia providing trauma recovery and behavioral therapy for children aged 3–12. I started this clinic after witnessing the silent suffering of children who had been abandoned, abused, or caught in extreme poverty. Many came from homes broken by violence, where there was no safe space to cry, to talk, or to heal. Some were too young to speak, but their eyes told stories of pain. At Ruang IMSA, we offer more than therapy — we offer a safe space to be seen, heard, and slowly healed. We use trauma-informed practices and work closely with caregivers from under-resourced communities. We believe that healing a child can change a generation. This work is personal to me. I have seen what happens when children are ignored — and what happens when they are supported with love and structure. We are a small team with a big heart. With limited resources, we do our best. But with your help, we can reach more children, provide more therapy, and build more hope. Together, we can turn pain into healing, and trauma into strength.
