About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Child's Life Foundation help set up community hub centers that provide services that PREVENT family separation in the first place. Every day, families in crisis or poverty are forced to give up their children in the hope of a better life. Decades of research prove what we know in our hearts: a family is the best place for a child to grow up. The Foundation helps reunite children with their own families where possible and finds loving, Ugandan adoptive or foster families where the child’s own family cannot be found or is unsafe. We help set up community hub centers that provide services that prevent family separation in the first place. We also got some kids we care for and as for that reason we encourage volunteers to come through and give a hand to help a child's Life. Any support is highly appreciated, for example, Teaching, Healthy support, academy support, and many others that can encourage these kids to have a better future. On top of that we fight hard to manage the illiterate adults, both mothers, fathers and grands.
