About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Shaima is a girl who was a young child who wishes to have a nice and very well-equipped school where she can play, draw and learn foreign languages, she dreamed a lot about the school being her sanctuary, yet when there is nothing of that became true, she faced the reality of being high school graduate with no qualifications advancing her for a better future, at that desperate moments she found all Salvation in the empowerment program that provides support for girls and women to reclaim their natural power and prosperity. She eagerly committed herself for a year to the I CAN training / workshops and English Language classes She expressed her motivation to volunteer in the same program "I decided to give some of my power and see that power charging others with hope, filling their future with potential" "I am a girl whose education shifted my life and take my future to dimensions that I dreamed of a lot, yet I did not believe I would arrive at them one day. Since I realized the huge impact of how education empowers me to create a brighter life not only for me but for others rounding me, I decided to make it my mission to support girls' education and empowerment"
