About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
Hello Kindhearted humans, My baby's name is Franco and he was born with a lip and tongue tie. Apart from that, he has a very recessed chin. Our journey with breastfeeding has been challenging. He has difficulty now eating solids which is one of the effects of his tongue tie. I was able to have his lip tie clipped and the tie with his tongue but it had been reattached. I have spent a lot of money on transport, CranioSacral Therapy, and clipping. I don't earn that much and we are struggling financially. I wish for my baby to have at least a chance to live not in difficulty with his body. He will have difficulty in speech later on as well and a lot of physical discomfort due to muscle compensation of his body. I wanted to go for laser surgery for his tongue tie, but it costs so much, and the therapy that goes along with it and also the transportation expenses as we don't have a car. Please, kindhearted humans, help my baby have a better everyday life. He is such a sweet boy.
