My Story
A story of a student that touched me in one of our local schools in Uganda inspired me to come up with this project in all the rural schools in West Nile, Uganda. Here she Narrates the story, ''I am in a secondary school in a school called Odravu Secondary school. I am currently in senior four, we happened to have some a mid-month examination as a preparation for our final exams in January, for this particular examination student are asked to pay some fee apart from the school fees that we had paid. I was unable to pay this fee for the examination and again the final exams are sat for after registering with the government where some fee is also paid but currently my parents tell me they are unable to pay these fees because their businesses are completely closed as a measure to avoid the spread of CORONA Virus. unfortunately, my father is a businessman, he deals in the bar business and Night clubs. Currently, in Uganda, all these businesses are closed due to the directives of the president to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic. All these issues have left me with no option but to remain traumatized in the school. What I dreamt to become slowly comes to an end at this point, where can I go, To whom can I go for rescue''. Therefore, shall we continue to the future of our young children being derailed like this young girl? Please support us to educate our future leaders. Peace of one step forward to the future glory.
