About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
This fundraiser is set up by my family in Dubai, UAE. We are also in personal contact with families in Turkey, and that is why we want to take initiative to set up this fundraiser to collect money and send it to the village of Adiyaman. Adiyaman is located in the southeast of Turkey, and its population is less than 400,000. The Kurdish people are one of the many that were impacted by the disastrous earthquake. With a temperature of -6 to 6 degrees Celsius, while rescue missions operate, they don't have proper aid or shelter. Over 23,000 lives have been lost since the earthquake struck. Innocent lives have been taken and immediate evacuation and shelter locations need to be provided. All proceeds go to a resident of Adiyaman, Mr. Deniz Dede. An active participant in contributing aid to the victims by facilitating tents, in which he is providing gas, food, clothing, and other basic amenities, and needs money to provide. He is shattered by the sight of his village, and we as human beings can support him and his people by donating as much as we can. Donate to humankind. Donate to the innocent people of Adiyaman.
