About the Cause
Poor health and nutrition negatively affect children’s school attendance and ability to learn. We implement school feeding programs that look for alternative ways to ensure sustainable supply of nutritious foods to school children and young people in urban and marginalized areas.
In addition, contaminated water and poor sanitation are big factors that result in the death of children worldwide. In our programs, we always include what is called WASH which means Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. This is done through the design and construction of child-friendly and gender sensitive facilities for sanitation, such as latrines and hand-washing stations. We also provide clean water supply by building water wells and raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
My Story
I lost my grandmother to Diabetes in the last 2 years have lost two relatives due to cancer and several of my friends are struggling with diabetes . This touched my heart and felt the need to start something that will reverse the raging effects of Non communicable diseases in the world however small it will have an impact. As a result of these and my background as Dietician and Fitness instructor i registered a non governmental organization called Fit And Healthy Generation Kenya with a vision to see a Non Communicable Diseases free World. The organization offers free medicals camps, school wellness programs, senior wellness programs , community fitness activations all these programs to create awareness on management and prevention of Non Communicable Diseases in the country. That's why i reached and started this fund raising , your kind contribution will be go along way in fighting Non Communicable Diseases
